Once again, we want to thank all of you who have reached out to us to inquire about our safety and that of our wonderful associates. We are happy to report that all are safe and accounted for.
In addition, we were able to perform a cursory inspection this morning and our fleet appears to have suffered no further damage as a result of Maria. We will be making a much more in depth, boat by boat inspection but at this time, we are delighted to be able to share with you that, as during Hurricane Irma, Compass Point Marina has fulfilled it's role as a safe hurricane hole.
One of our primary cruising grounds, the British Virgin Islands, were spared significant damage due to Maria so they are now able to continue the task of cleaning up and rebuilding without having to start all over. We are receiving more feedback everyday from business owners that their plans to rebuild are already underway.
Please keep the residents of St Croix and Puerto Rico in your thoughts and prayers as they took the full brunt of Hurricane Maria. Both islands have been instrumental in helping St Thomas, St John and the British Virgin Islands begin the road to recovery. Now, we need to stand with them.
Virgin Islands Yacht Charters is working with our charter guests at this point to discuss options for rescheduling some of our September and October charters but we are fully operational and looking forward to a vibrant charter season.
Sincerely,
All of Us at Virgin Islands Yacht Charters
