TRAVEL INSURANCE FOR CORONOVIRUS
What if you test positive?
Seven Corners can help in several ways.
Medical Coverage
If you’re symptomatic and need medical care, your medical expenses for treatment for Coronavirus contracted on your trip can be covered by our trip protection plans and our travel medical plan.
Coverage Extension
Likewise, both plans allow you to extend your coverage if you test positive and must stay abroad for longer than you anticipated.
Extending my trip protection plan
If you’ve been quarantined during your trip, your coverage will be extended for the entire duration of a COVID-19 related quarantine. In addition, coverage will be extended for five additional days following the end of the quarantine if you have not arrived back in your return destination city.
Extending my travel medical plan
For an additional cost, you can extend your Liaison Travel Plus plan for up to a total of 180 days.
Coverage for additional trip expenses
You’ll have to stay put for two weeks or until you test negative even if you’re not symptomatic. That means you’ll likely have additional associated expenses such as lodging and food.
Trip protection coverage for related expenses
Benefits may include coverage for Travel Delay if you are delayed the required number of hours due to quarantining for a positive test result. This covers additional transportation, meals, accommodations, and nonrefundable, unused prepaid expenses up to the Travel Delay limit stated in the plan. There are other covered reasons for Travel Delay that apply as well.
Travel medical coverage for related expenses
If you have a positive test result and your treating physician authorizes you to remain confined in a hotel room, expenses for the hotel stay can be covered under the COVID-19 benefit in the Liaison Plus plan. For coverage to apply, you must be under the care of a duly qualified Physician and staying in a hotel room due to the unavailability of a hospital room due to capacity or distance or to any other circumstances beyond your reasonable control.
