The British Virgin Islands continues to create difficulty for foreign based yachts by putting in place challenging protocols for authorization. We have hired an agent who is based in the BVI to assist us with all the paperwork and hopefully speed up the process. With that being said, no one that we know of has actually been granted approval and have even been turned away for something as little as using staples instead of paperclips on the applications. We'll keep you updated!
In the meantime, the US Virgin Islands has loosened restrictions and you are no longer required to use the Travel Portal when entering the territory. Many more restaurants and beachside venues have stepped up their game and sailing our beautiful islands have never been better. With the current over-crowding in the BVI with the backup of 2 years' worth of charter credits, the USVI is the place to be while that all settles down. With plenty of anchorages and no fighting for mooring balls, you'll find an easy and stress-free cruising ground.
We'd love to invite you to join us! Don't forget, late season and early season 10 for 7 options. Contact us today for more information.
See you soon!
(View of Sapphire Beach from one of the newest restaurants on island. Great day anchorage and the BEST place to be for Sunday-Funday!)
