Meet Caleb

Caleb grew up in Canada, sailing the Great Lakes outside of Toronto all summer, every summer growing up.

Caleb raced sailboats in international regattas for several years before moving on to teaching people how to sail to put himself through university.

After several successful seasons sailing around the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, The Bahamas, & The Mediterranean, Caleb underwent significant PADI Dive training in The Bay Islands, off the coast of Honduras.

Meet Adhika

Growing up on the Jersey Shore, between green forests and sandy beaches, Adhika has always loved the outdoors and life by the water. She spent a lot of her youth going on camping, kayaking, and fishing trips with her family and has trekked through a dozen US National Parks. Adhika also spent time traveling abroad to visit relatives in the UK, Europe, Kenya, and India, which created a lifelong desire to travel.

Coming from a large, international family, Adhika is inspired by different cultures and cuisines and also knows the importance of gathering around the table for mealtime. This love for creating memories around food led Adhika to pursue degrees in both Hospitality Management and Marketing. Adhika spent time as a restaurant manager in Downtown Philadelphia. She says that delivering service is “like a dance” and thrives off the energy of being around guests and getting into a flow while cooking.

Having longed for a career that allowed her to be outdoors and see the world, Adhika worked full-time on an organic vegetable and flower farm, growing and harvesting. She even practiced cooking for a crowd and would create elaborate spreads for crew and friends, using produce grown on the farm.

Her passion for cooking only grew stronger, and her dishes became more creative once she got closer to the source of the food.

Adhika refined her cooking skills at culinary school in Ashburton, UK, and also holds a Level II Award in Wines from The Wine and Spirits Education Trust. Adhika’s dream is to build community through travel, cooking, supporting local food systems, and being outdoors.

Discovering the world of yachting and chartering sailing yachts around the Mediterranean has allowed her to create a lifestyle around her passions and share core memories with people from around the world.

As the trip planner for the soggy six group, I can truly say that we hit the jackpot! The best crew, beautiful boat and the most amazing backdrop made for an adventure of a lifetime. You were both so talented as captain & crew - the sailing was amazing & the food to die for. I'll be dreaming about our experiences! for years to come! Thank you both for a fabulous week on EMYSA! We hope to sail the seas with you again!

JANUARY 2025

It has been an absolute blast being with you on this incredible trip. Your service was
impeccable and outstanding all the trip and your delicious gourmet meals. Thank you so
so much for this fantastic memory you helped create. Wish you a successful and
enjoyable season and I will be happy every client comes your way!

NOVEMBER 2024

We know the soggy six would have a phenomenal trip together, but we did not anticipate the two of you and how you would make our trip truly EPIC! Caleb, you took such good care of us! The boat was spotless (and we did our best to keep it that way!), the curated adventures were so beautiful, and a new experience every day! The vistas were unparalleled. And then there was the food! Deeks, you managed to blow us away with your amazing culinary skills. Every single meal was better than the prior. You raised the seemingly unraisable bar every single day. The two of you never made us feel like an inconvenience or in your way. You were beyond professional and your interactions were so sweet. You are great partners and you made our trip infinitely more special. Thank you for our incredibly week aboard Emysa. We cannot wait to sail with you again!

-XO, Ellie & John

Caleb and Adi were amazing!!! We really enjoyed the charter and the amazing and welcoming
experience that the crew planned. Adi's food and table presence was next level- she made sure
everyone was taken care of with any dietary restrictions they could have. 10/10.
And Caleb was excellent- he attended to every need and made sure we did everything we
wanted to do: fishing, snorkeling, water sports - days full of activities! 10/10. You have an
amazing crew here. The boat was lovely - everything worked perfectly!!! Looking forward to our
next charter!

NOVEMBER 2024

Last week me and my wife and two other couples chartered the EMYSA for a week-long trip in the BVIs. The captain was Caleb Haydock and the chef was Adhika Malhotra. The trip totally exceeded our expectations in so many ways and as a group we attributed much of the experience to our crew. The attributes that made the cruise so enjoyable included:

Hospitality - From when we arrived till the time we departed Caleb and Adhika were on point, attending to our every need, be it a fantastic meal, a cool fresh drink or a warm dry towel. I can't tell you how that type of attentiveness made for such an enjoyable experience.
Work Ethic - From dawn till dusk Caleb and Adhika were cleaning the boat, preparing meals and readying water equipment for our use. They were moving the entire time making sure we were prepared for our next BVI experience.
Knowledge - Caleb captained the boat like a pro. Two of us are boat owners and were continually impressed by his yachtsmanship. Adhika is a Five Star Chef! The meals she prepared were visually appealing and just as delicious.

I have managed global sales and marketing organizations for most of my professional career and the Caleb and Adhika embody the attributes that make for winning teams. As an employer, they are excellent ambassadors of your brand. We were lucky to have them as our crew. We'll be back

JANUARY 2025

We wish you a fabulous season!
